Introducing the Energy Conservation Solution

The Energy Eye System

The Energy Eye system is designed to detect the presence of people in your villa and set the ambient temperature accordingly.  This is the HVAC or thermostat interface that is controls the temperature of the villa depending on occupancy.  It works in conjunction with a Passive Infrared motion sensor.  If the motion detector senses motion, people are present.  If there is no motion, the property is empty and the temperature is adjusted  accordingly.

Here are two examples of the Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensors. The wireless sensor on the left is hung in a corner to cover an application with multiple bedrooms.  If you are concerned that this unit may be mistaken for a camera, the PIR on the right  is designed to resemble a common smoke detector.  It is mounted on the ceiling and also communicates with thermostat interface wirelessly.

How it works….

The Energy Eye system detects whether or not a unit is occupied though information obtained from either the PIR or from a Micro Door Sensor.  If the unit is occupied the Energy Eye allows the renter to have control over temperature settings as permitted by the thermostat.

If the Energy Eye detects an unoccupied unit, HVAC operations are regulated by the receiver/control to initiate energy savings.  The temperature of the unoccupied units are predetermined by property management, allowing control over wasted electricity while still allowing for acceptable renter/guest comfort levels.

Because of the Advanced Login the system will not turn off while the renters are sleeping.  The PIR only needs to see an occupant enter the unit the first time.  Because the unit is a closed space, it is then considered occupied.
