Home monitoring offers you many advantages, even over the so-called smart thermostats.  There are several ways it can be done.  In one method, a motion detector sensors are put up throughout the house and door sensors are placed on the doors.  If a door opens the air conditioning is shut off.  If the monitoring system determines that there is no one in the house, the temperature in the home is allowed to rise.  When someone comes home, the temperature is lowered accordingly.

For the owners of rental villas, there is another way monitoring can be accomplished.  In this method, when a renter enters the property, a metal key is entered into a recepticle.  The presence of the key signals occupancy, which lowers the termperature and triggers the air conditioner or heat exchanger.
